Indian Sandalwood has an aroma that is woody, balsamic, sweet and slightly musky. It is a very good decongestant for the respiratory system and may be an excellent oil for the skin, useful for dryness, irritation, itching and inflammation. It is grounding, strengthening and stabilising, supporting the lymphatic and nervous systems, aiding meditation, reducing fear and stress when connected to over-worry, helping to let go and be in the here and now.
Indian Sandalwood oil differs from the Australian in that it’s aroma is more mellow and smooth.
Use in the bath, shower, massage, aromaburner, steam and direct inhalation.
