A family workshop in the heart of Akaroa

Margy and Dai established Fire & Ice in Akaroa in 1995. Although now mostly retired, they still have an active role in the gemstone and aromatherapy sourcing and quality control.

Dai has a lifetime of knowledge and is a master of many trades. Alongside being chief handyman, he is a jeweller and has passed these skills onto Esther and Shaun over the years.

Margy has over 40 years' experience with aromatherapy and practical use in crystal and gemstone therapy. She is also an author and sound therapy practitioner.

Esther, Margy & Dai's daughter, is now the shop and business manager overseeing the day-to-day runnings of the show, alongside raising her daughters.

Shaun has been with us on this journey from the beginning. You will find him making jewellery on-site and delivering top notch product knowledge and customer service.

Sandra, the newest member of our team, works in our aromatherapy department, helps with some jewellery making and loves showing customers around our retail shop.

Everyone rotates working on the shop floor and are passionate about giving exceptional customer service and product information. We pride ourselves on quality and want your online and in-store shopping experience to be an enjoyable and satisfying one.
