Sourced in Morocco, Amber (fossilised tree resin) oil is created through a dry distillation process (dry crushing). When amber is crushed, it turns into a powder with a warming aroma. It’s then mixed with a carrier oil to create what is referred to as an essential oil of amber.
Our Moroccan Amber oil has a warm, smokey-sweet aroma with a smooth woody undertone. It’s mellow and long lasting.
This oil is calming and uplifting for the mind and spirit. It’s base note relaxes brain waves, useful in meditative practices like yoga, meditation, tai chi and anytime you need to quiet the mind’s chatter. It’s also reported to be sedating and calming, easing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and can promote a good night’s sleep. Amber oil can benefit the skin by cleansing, rejuvenating and promoting elasticity and growth of new cells – useful for acne, eczema and damaged skin. It’s also known for it’s pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, easing muscle spasms and pain, asthma and cold symptoms and boosts the immune system.
Use in bath, shower, massage, aromaburner, direct inhalation, dilute and apply topically for local pain.
